How does CBD cream/balm work? Should I use it?
What CBD product should I use? Do CBD Products Work? Yes, CBD products do work to help all kinds of symptoms and ailments. The degree of how well they work depends on the product’s absorption capability. A product can have thousands of milligrams of cannabidiol (CBD), but if your body can’t absorb it then it’s not going to provide any benefits to your body.
Over the last few years CBD products have become quite popular. Hemp derived products with CBD (cannabidiol) can help with a wide variety of things in the human body. Here at SPX Nutrition we have seen our CBD oil capsules help many people with all types of afflictions. Because of the great success of our 24k Gold™ product (CBD Oil Capsules) we have added a few more Hemp/CBD products to our store line. One of which is our NEW CBD/Hemp Balm. Through research of formulating our new product we have found that a topical CBD infused cream or balm can be just as effective as ingesting a CBD oil. Even more effective when paired together.
So, what is the difference between CBD Balm and taking/ingesting CBD Oil?
First let us understand how CBD interacts and helps with the body.
The body produces endocannabinoids, which are neurotransmitters that bind to cannabinoid receptors in the nervous system. These cannabinoids are located throughout the entire nervous system and are referred to as the endocannabinoid system. CBD acts upon these receptors (CB1 & CB2) by stimulating/interacting with them. CB1 receptors are the prominent subtype in the Central Nervous System (Brain & spinal cord) as well as the lungs, liver and kidneys. CB2 receptors are the prominent subtype throughout the peripheral nervous system (nervous system outside the brain and spinal cord). When these receptors were first discovered scientist thought they were only present in the brain and nerves, but later discovered they are present throughout the body, including our skin, immune cells, bone, fat tissue, liver, pancreas, skeletal muscle, heart, blood vessels, kidney, and gastrointestinal tract.
The promotion/stimulation of CB1 and CB2 receptors shows to be a potential therapeutic avenue in several physiological areas, from physical afflictions to pathological conditions, including neuropsychological disorders and neurodegenerative diseases. The studies of this interaction with these neurotransmitters is proving to have a lot more left to be discovered. In the near future these studies will help us understand even more about the great things cannabidiol (CBD) can help with the human body.
Which CBD product should you use?
The best answer is both an ingestible CBD oil along with a topical CBD oil. The two together can have a much higher effect because of the bodies ability to absorb more of the CBD when spread throughout the endocannabinoid system.
If you are treating pain in a localized area, then a topical CBD Balm will work the best for reducing the inflammation and pain in that area. CBD topical cream works best for this because the CBD is able to interact directly with the cannabinoid receptors at the location of the pain.
If you are treating any other ailment with a CBD Product, you will want to use an ingestible CBD product. By absorption through the digestive system the CBD interacts with a higher volume of cannabinoid receptors throughout the body. Thus having more of an effect on conditions such as arthritis, digestive health, mental health, internal inflammation etc.
Using a CBD product can have positive effects on a long list of things.
cancer related symptoms
and many other claims yet to be studied.
If you suffer from any of these, you might try using a CBD product to remedy the issue.
Note: Always consult your doctor or physician before adding an additive or supplement to your diet. Especially if you are taking any medications.
